The University of Ottawa is a bilingual and research-intensive international university located in Ottawa. It is one of the oldest universities in Canada.

The Centre for Continuing Education works closely with other faculties and services on campus to promote and offer credited or non-credited programs for adult learners. Programming revolves around two types of learning experience: professional-development courses and general-interest seminars and series for small groups.

  • The Personal Enrichment sector develops and offers non-credited personal enrichment activities and programs for adult learners or targeted audiences. This sector works with various groups, agencies, associations and employers, large or small, to develop high-quality university-level course contents that are specifically designed to meet the needs of the community.
  • Each year, the Professional Development sector of the Centre for Continuing Education:
    • Trains over 4000 people
    • Gives 300 on-campus workshops and over 125 customized in-house workshops
    • Cumulates more than 700 days of training
