Laurentian University is the largest bilingual provider of distance education in Canada. The Centre for Continuing Learning (CCL), (formerly the Centre for Continuing Education), was founded to accommodate students wishing to study on a part-time basis. Since its inception, the distance program has grown from one course to an inventory of over 380 courses offered in a variety of delivery modes. CCL now offers 26 university degree program and certificate options in an online format along with many micro-credential professional development opportunities. These offerings provide the flexibility to complete a full program of study or complement on-campus study. By enrolling online a student can get ahead, keep up, or catch up with their studies, all on their own schedule.

CCL provides:

  • Online degree programs and courses, including micro-credentials
  • College to online degree pathways
  • Admission opportunities three times a year for credit offerings and monthly admission opportunities for our non-credit professional development offerings
  • Courses are created by faculty members and national research experts, undergo rigorous peer review processes, and hold the same learning outcomes as on-campus courses.
