The Balanced Employment Initiative supports employment in Port Hope by providing training, resources, and guidance for job-seekers, employees and employers. This initiative will help increase the number of skilled employees and will also educate employers on how to increase fair employment opportunities for new and existing employees.
Recent research has identified that skilled workers are particularly in demand in the manufacturing sector and the hospitality and service industries. The Frontline and Manufacturing pathways offer courses to better prepare workers for available jobs.
Employers need to know how to attract, nurture and retain skilled workers. The employer pathway offers a selection of learning modules designed to guide employers towards leading a more robust and resilient workforce.
These three pathways are designed to support a more robust employment environment in Port Hope.
This project was funded in part by the Government of Ontario.
