OCAD U offers its students a unique environment that combines studio-based learning with critical inquiry. OCAD U is located in the heart of Toronto, Canada’s largest centre for design, culture and business. This vibrant nexus brings together a diversity of creative forces. And where great minds meet, magic happens.
Programs lead to a BFA or BDes and, as of 2008/2009, an MA, MFA or MDes. Students experience a range of research contexts and methodologies via the university’s significant research arm.

There are several ways in which students with previous post-secondary education can have that experience recognized upon entry to OCAD University.
Ontario College of Art and Design Student Union
All students registered for a minimum of a half-credit course are members of the Student Union (SU). Each student member has free access to SU services, has the right to get involved in SU governance, and is eligible to be elected to the SU Executive or Board of Directors.
